Have a waffle! – Nike Elite Vintage

If there is an old school shoe, that’s the Elite. On 1971, the Nike cofounder, Bill Bowerman, began to experiment with his wife’s iron waffle to design a new sole for the trainers of his runners. His goal was for this shoe to have grip and lightness. The waffle sole was created from this innovation and was used with a huge success on models like the Elite or the Daybreak.

Time has passed and Nike gets us back to the 70’s with the reissue of a legendary shoe. It comes with the classic vintage treatments on the sole and shoelaces. With regards to the materials, the suede in brick red softens the fuchsia shade of the nylon. We know it is a flashy item but the spring is coming so be bold and give some colour to your clothing.
