Puma Clyde Script High Risk – A true classic.

There are few sneakers that deserve the title of classic more than the Puma Clyde.

It all started in 1973. At that time, Walt “Clyde” Frazier had already accumulated enouugh merits to be named to the 1987 Hall of Fame class, leading the Knickerbockers to win the only two NBA championships that the franchise has. Frazier became an icon for the New Yorkers, and not only for his amazing style on the pitch, but also for the extravagant look that made him irresistible for the fans. He earned the nickname “Clyde” from his personal way of dressing, in which he usually included a hat that reminded the one worn by Warren Beatty in the film “Bonnie and Clyde”

Puma saw a goldmine in Clyde and modified their suede basketball shoe to satisfy the player requirements, thus achieving one of most influential sneaker sponsorships in sports history. Later, Puma imprinted his nickname in every shoe to create the first Puma Clyde.

Since then, the shoe has been reissued multiple times becoming one of the most legendary Puma shoes and a sneakerheads favourite.

This time the brand has chosen the red for the suede and the black for the fromstrip in leather to bring us the new Puma Clyde Script High Risk. In foot District we are very pleased to add this marvel to our collection.
