adidas ZX Flux “Forest Print”

As we’ve already mentioned, camo patterns and colourways are hot this season. As it couldn’t be otherwise, adidas is using them on one of their leading silhouettes: the adidas ZX Flux.

The story of the Flux is brief, but it takes a lot from adidas’ legacy and their rich retro-running tradition. As we already told you on our introduction of the adidas ZX Flux, this model was intended to be the ZX of the current age. Keeping key features of running sneakers, adidas stripes the design to the core looking for an absolute minimalism. Only the three stripes, the heel stabilizer and the laces break the unity of the one-piece upper.

This simplicity might be the reason why prints suit the adidas Flux so well. This time, the german brand went for a photographic print to show the image of a forest on a camo green background. This sober colourway makes the white sole, identical to that of the adidas ZX 8000, stand out nicely.

The seamless nylon upper, superbly light, sits atop a sole full of technology. The TORSION system consists of a bar that joins the back and the front of the sneaker, helping energy transmission and providing better stability. They also feature a molded TPU heel cage for improved comfort.
