Nike Internationalist vs Le Coq Sportif Milos

Today in our blog we want to take a closer look to the retro-running world through one of our usual model face-offs. As opposed to our latest versus, where we reviewed silhouette as innovative as the Nike Rosherun or the adidas ZX Flux, the sneaker we talk about today have been about since the 80’s. This season, the Nike Internationalist and the Le Coq Sportif Milos come strong as ever.

As I was saying, these two sneakers are the perfect example of the retro-running style. Models that back in the day were released for running with cut-edge technology come back with the same style to add a retro touch to your looks.

The Nike Internationalist were one of the favorite models in the 80’s for long distance tracks, while the Milos were born in 1986, also designed for running. Some of the details that show that these sneakers were made for running would be the rubber outsole for an optimum grip or the raised toe box.

In what refers to the silhouette, both sneakers are quite similar. They have a low profile and pursue lightweight and breathability with the use of materials like mesh and nylon, with an EVA midsole to achieve light cushioning. The Nike Internationalist also feature a heel stabilizer for a firmer step.

As to the colourways that Nike and LCS offer, they chose intense and sober colors which reveal each model’s character. Blue and green hues cover the uppers of our Internationalist and Milos.
