Reebok Ventilator: Pure 90’s running

The greatest brands in the sneaker scene are aware that their classic models are one of their biggest assets. Sometimes they decide to give them a twist by adding new technologies, colors and materials, like Nike did with the Ultra Moire. Reebok, on the other hand, hit the nail on the head releasing a legendary model. Last Saturday they reissued the Reebok Ventilator with the original colourway, matching it exactly to the first release.

The Ventilator were first released to the market in 1990, and they were designed for fast and light runners. Their outer sole provided perfect traction, while the Hexalite technology enhanced impact absorption to make each step more comfortable.

The breathable mesh panels on the sides give this model its name: Reebok Ventilator. In addition, yet another detail made this model superior to others at the time: the visible archbridge on the center greatly improved motion control.

To pay a tribute to the retro essence of this amazing model in the 25th anniversary of its release, Reebok kept the original colors from 1990, releasing three of the original colourways. At foot District we introduce on of the most retro, with the fluor touches that were so fashionable in the 90’s.

Most of the upper comes in a combination of grey and white, with an also grey print. Fluor details, both green and pink, can be seen on the branding, heel, sole or eyelets.

As to the materials, most of the upper comes in leather panels, with the mesh that names the model on the sides. The outer sole is made of rubber, for an improved durability and grip.
