The return of a myth – New Balance M990N

When something worthy and special arrives to your store, you know it inmediately. This Made in USA model is part of the 99X series. With this series of numbers, the Boston’s firm wants to note the fact that in a 1 from 1000 scale, this shoe is graded 99X, that is, close to perfection. New Balance praises of quality craftmanship and whoever loves this world agrees on that.

The 99X series show up on the running scene on 1982 with the launch of the M990, actually the shoe that stars in this post. Other shoes hit the store shelves afterwards: the M995 on 1986, the M997 on 1991 or the M998, the one which brought along the ABZORB® technology, on 1993.

This reissue conmemorates the 30th anniversary of its launch and it can’t more similar to the 1982’s shoe. That’s something that the NB craftsmen always take care of. It’s made in navy suede and mesh to facilitate the breathing. It’s a very light shoe with white details on the heel stabilizer or the iconic N, made in leather.

In terms of the technical features, we have to admit it has impressed us. The C-CAP midsole provides cushioning and support. Lastly, something that we didn’t know about, NB has hired the world leader in high performance rubber soles. Durability, traction, control or balance are some of the features that this brand brings along. The NB M990N does not leave any detail left to fate.
