From the streets of Warsaw to the world, MISBHV became one of the most acclaimed contemporary brands in luxury streetwear. This year, the Polish brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection draws the inspiration by the most elegant and mysterious nightlife scene. Stay tuned: their 2020 Autumn/Winter proposal will be available at Foot District.
Avant-garde, haute couture and the street style blend into an underground imagery led by Natalia Maczek and Thomas Wirski. MISBHV’s latest proposal focuses on the club scene, sophisticating the aesthetic of raves and nightlife spaces without compromising their rebel and anti-system spirit. In fact, it is exactly that post-punk essence what enamored New York’s catwalks and the wardrobes of celebrities like A$AP Rocky and Rihanna. Its characteristic rejection of the establishment and strong post-Soviet roots stand out in a collection that acts as a declaration of the brand’s principles.
In their SS20, MISBHV vindicates the nightlife scene as a space for political resistance. So the duo formed by Maczek and Wirski erects the club as the driving force of an unconventional cultural stream. Their perspective emerges from the current political situation in Poland. In fact, MISBHV already proved their social commitment in a former collaboration with Souvenir in 2019, where they encouraged the population of Poland to participate in the European elections to slow down the rise of the extreme right wing.
Party dresses, tailoring, leather and, of course, maillots play together in MISBHV new collection. The leather jackets are worth mentioning, covered in illustrations from the artist Rafal Oblinski, symbolizing the fight for diversity and equality. Jewelry, exaggerated and voluminous, also plays an essential part on this proposal. They mark an ostentation between classic pieces and ultramodern elements.
So if you like this proposal, keep an eye open and don’t miss a thing. MISBHV upcoming Autumn/Winter 2020 collection will be available at Foot District!
