The new Tommy Hilfiger x Lewis Hamilton, a step forward to an inclusive and zero waste philosophy

Lewis Hamilton, the British Formula One racing driver, immerses himself in the fashion system through a capsule collection in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger. It is the fifth time that the athlete and the brand team up. This time, focusing on a principle of maximum responsibility with the environment and diversity and social inclusion.

The success in the motor world seems not to be enough for Lewis Hamilton. Now, he decides to dive deeper into the streetwear scene. He always did, actually. It is not unusual to spot him featuring a bold and polished look in front of the cameras. Yet Hamilton affirms not to be any style icon, but he does consider himself as a fashion enthusiast, and gets back to work now as a designer for an exclusive collection with his better half, Tommy Hilfiger.

The collection Tommy x Lewis features a series of urban garments full of American and British codes. The collaborative logo that combines the classic flag of the brand with an exuberant letter H. Garments as varied as an oversized coat and a crop top form the most diverse proposal, that still aims to rescue the musts that prevail in our wardrobes as the fleece fabric. We can also find everyday classics and highly functional accessories like backpacks, specialized footwear for colder days like the striking hiker boots.

Diversity, sustainability

All the pieces in Tommy x Lewis were created with the purpose of generating the minimum waste. For this reason, organic textiles and recycled materials as denim are present throughout the collection. It also includes lots of unisex pieces for all genders and body types. An undeniable progress for this streetwear combo. “We found new ways of moving forward in sustainability and create fashion for everyone, always staying true to Tommy Hilfiger’s Classic American Cool DNA”, affirms Hamilton. “The result is fresh and bold”.
