Polar Skate Co., Brand and Team

Polar Skate Co. is both a brand and a professional skateboarding team, a dual existence that can only be understood through collaboration with Aaron Herrington, Dane Brady, Hjalte Halberg, or Paul Grund.

Pontus Alv, the founder of the brand and a professional skater, seeks to maintain the energy of skaters as the creative focus of Polar and includes them in the design and manufacturing process.

Style

Hailing from Sweden (although later relocating to Portugal to maintain direct contact with their suppliers), Polar retains some of the Nordic style and incorporates the creations of their team of skaters, as well as their functional recommendations. T-shirts with impactful graphics, flannel shirts, hoodies, accessories, and a garment that has become a classic for the brand, the Big Boy pants.

Skateboarding, a prominent trendsetter, has always had a place at FOOTDISTRICT. Their collaborations with Converse CONS, Nike, or Carhartt WIP have been creating the space that the brand needs.
