A simple and functional silhouette, the adidas Campus was created in the seventies under the name adidas Tournament and quickly became an alternative to the models of the time, such as adidas Supergrip, Superstar, Americana, or ProModel. In some colours, the suede offered new colour options and functionalities.
It was the new colours of the adidas Campus that conquered the streets, soon becoming a reference for hip-hop.
adidas Campus 00s and Skateboarding
As hip-hop grew, it conquered new worlds. In the nineties, the boundaries between hip-hop, rock, and skateboarding blurred, and there was the adidas Campus. Comfortable and durable, although born far from the streets, they adapted perfectly to the needs of skateboarders and, of course, to their image. In response, adidas updated the Campus silhouette with a padded tongue and perfected shapes for use on the skateboard. It instantly became a trend.
