Created in the 1960s, the adidas Gazelle was conceived as a total training model inspired by other styles of the time such as Olympiade or Mexicana. It was the first time adidas used suede in its sneakers, which allowed for a better fit and more color options.
The success of the adidas Gazelle caused them to specialize, with special versions for indoor training called adidas Gazelle Indoor.
adidas Gazelle turned into a women's style icon
By the end of the 1970s, the adidas Gazelle had already closed its sporty cycle and began to gain ground on the streets. Its simple, fitted silhouette was comfortable and had the style of a generation.
During the nineties, in which some of the lines of the seventies were recovered, the adidas Gazelle also had its importance, directly on the catwalks.
