FOOTDISTRICT and adidas Originals create an experience rooted in calm. This creative process, developed in collaboration with Far Residency, transforms creation itself into an immersive experience. At its center is the Stan Smith, a design where simplicity and calm function as a blank canvas—a true invitation to create.
Far Residency is an independent artistic residency set in a rural environment, a space for reflection and communion with other artists, allowing them to step away from urgency. It fosters experimentation free of noise or distraction, letting creation follow a new path unbound by conventional studio routines.
The adidas Originals Stan Smith embodies calm. A silhouette where simplicity is an active proposition, and serenity is a creative value. No master lines, no direct brief, no deadlines. Two artists—Sergio Srgr and SOPOPOMO—serve as the creative engines of this environment.
Sergio Srgr works with graphic language, materiality, and cultural archaeology to transform the environment into a reflective canvas. His minimalist gestures are loaded with meaning, exploring the interplay of form, texture, and time. The shift from urban spaces to rural contexts enhances calm and concentration, where painting becomes continuous thought, and each visual decision reflects a profound dialogue with his surroundings and materials.

Timeless design. Utilitarian appeal.
The FAR Residency experience was enriched by the presence of artists from diverse creative fields, fostering continuous creative dialogue. The goal was not only to produce work outside usual contexts but to weave connections between perspectives, processes, and sensibilities. Each interaction amplifies the creative experience, turning the space into a laboratory of exploration that generates new ways of thinking, feeling, and materializing creativity.
