The Pegasus, widely regarded as Nike's most iconic running model, was created in 1983 with the intention of becoming a basic model for any medium-distance runner. Four decades later, the original Pegasus and its Air Wedge in the talon are remembered, but the Pegasus saga continues to evolve.
Pegasus GX in the years 1985, 87, 88, 89… up until 1997, every new edition aimed to improve performance, and the range was expanded with racing and trail versions (ACG in 1988 and A/T in 1991). After three years without a Pegasus, in the late 1970s, the runners requested the return of the Pegasus, which has remained faithful to its citation ever since.
