Description
SPZL aims to capture the spirit and cultural relevance of some of its archive models, avoiding exact reissues of the originals (that’s something adidas does very well in other collections). In this case, instead of recreating the original TRX lines, the inspiration comes from the adidas archive, where modifications specifically made for athletes are visible, such as extra overlays, material changes, different eyestays, and changes to the outsoles.
The adidas Originals TRX SPZL is a reinterpretation of these iconic styles, inspired by unseen versions you might find in the archive. The original TRX colorway was used, as that’s where much of its identity lies, though the midsole used in previous TRX reissues was replaced with an EVA wedge (with a scooped cutaway as a nod to its predecessors).
